Selection of the thickness of the stainless steel protective film and the method of sticking

- Jul 31, 2020-

In the use of stainless steel protective film, it is often necessary to choose its thickness. For example, initially, a 0.05 mm PE protective film was selected as the starting point for the test. The thickness of the stainless steel sheet is the lower limit, and the gap of the design stamping die is based on the value of the material thickness without deviation. In this case, the double-sided film can add four layers of protective film, increasing 0.2 mm. Due to the thickness of the material, although some of the gaps are offset, the parts may be unloaded smoothly or the parts may be stuck in the mold, and the mold may even break.

In order to solve this problem and reduce the thickness of the stainless steel protective film, the thickness can be finally determined through multiple tests to meet the production requirements. Next, we need to determine the viscosity of the protective film. Generally, although the PE protective film protects the parts, due to the long processing cycle and the high viscosity of the PE protective film, it is difficult to clean the protective film of the final part.

In response to this problem, the viscosity of the stainless steel protective film needs to be determined according to its own needs. In this way, in practical applications, the probability of bumping can be reduced first. The whole process flow of stainless steel parts can be summarized as follows: sheet material → filming → full-page transport → CNC blanking → transport → deepening process → transport → shaping → transport → punching → transport → cleaning → tearing film → transport → Turner→Transport, and finally check the output.

Judging from the above process flow, the transportation and the handover of the various processes may cause bumping of the workpiece. After using the stainless steel protective film, it is equivalent to insuring six transportations, so the probability of bumping is reduced by 85.7 in the transportation section %. At the same time, the reception between processes and the processing of this process also greatly reduce the occurrence of parts bumps. At the same time, bumps are reduced.

In other words, after putting a layer of stainless steel protective film on the surface of stainless steel parts, the problems of pad pits, bumps and scratches are basically eliminated. At the same time, it will also reduce the cost of stretching fluid. In short, sheet metal film not only improves the quality and production efficiency of parts, but also increases the input-output rate and reduces costs, shortening the production cycle of parts.

In addition, the surface quality of the parts can be significantly improved, and the production efficiency is improved, the product production cycle is also greatly shortened, and the input-output rate is also improved. The use of stainless steel protective film in the production of stamping parts can eliminate the scrap caused by the deep pits of the parts that cannot be repaired, and can reduce the use of cleaning agents and lubricants and the cost of repairs.
