Application of surface protective film in aluminum industry

After more than half a century's development, the domestic aluminum industry has formed a large scale. The surface protection film is a layer of plastic film on the aluminum material, the purpose is to protect the production of good aluminum in the handling, inventory, transportation, processing, installation and so on in a series of processes without damage. And after the installation of aluminum material, tear the surface protective film can make the aluminum surface clean and new, and play the proper decorative effect.


With the continuous development of the market, various kinds of aluminum products emerge in an endless stream, and there are various types, and the surface treatment technology of aluminum is also improving. As a result, different surface protection films should be selected for different aluminum surfaces. At present, the protective membrane products can be mainly divided into 4 series: low viscosity, medium viscosity, high viscosity and super high viscosity. And the colors include transparent, milk white, blue, black and white. The thickness is also different. The thickness range is about 30~200 m.


Therefore, these factors should be considered when choosing protective films. For a given surface, it is very important to choose the proper colloid and sticky surface protection film. The following processing steps are the key to determine the viscosity, and the subsequent processing is usually cut, bending, drilling, stamping and so on.


Usually, if the surface of the protected product is smooth, it is recommended to choose low viscosity surface protective film, such as mechanical polishing and chemical polishing aluminum. For medium rough surface, it is suitable to use the medium adhesive protective film, such as anodic oxidation coloring, electrophoretic paint, chemical coloring, fluorocarbon spraying, light surface electrostatic powder spraying aluminum and so on.


In a word, a variety of aluminum products in the process of transportation, storage and assembly, such as the need to use a suitable surface protection membrane to protect against harmful gases, microbial corrosion, dust pollution, mechanical scratches, scratches and so on, so that the surface of the product to retain the original high degree of smoothness.
